300hp V6 SH-AWD, sign me up. The problem is that a V6 SH-AWD sedan will sticker close to 50k. I have a feeling Acura is really going to struggle in that field.

Which is a shame because it would still be a value for what it is at that price. An S4 Avant would be 60+ I'm sure.

Kinda sorta, keep in mind a Volvo V60 R w/ 325hp and 354 tq starts at 44k and is similar size to the S4 Avant.

Starts at. Remember, Acura has an all inclusiveness kind or pricing model.

Yup, and that is what I like about Acura, they have a simplicity to their trim levels and give you a lot of features for the money. But...if I load the V60 R with similar tech options as an Advance TL I'm at 52,175. An extra 2 grand in this segment will not make or break a buyer and let's not forget about the "wagon tax" most automakers including Acura will charge a little extra for the wagon. Acura currently puts a $1200 premium on the TSX longroof over the sedan. Which really isn't too bad, but if a TLX premium is going for 50 a wagon (not that a wagon is going to happen, but just for our convo it does) should be close to 52.
Look, I really like the TLX. I think it is a sharp looking car and it has potential (despite the fact that they have no plans for a 3-pedal version). But I'm afraid Acura is going to get a little too ambitious with the pricing and will still be way behind the Germans. You might buy an Acura over a BMW, and maybe I would if the car had the right feel to it. But the majority of buyers will go with the badge. Acura needs to undercut and over-deliver, they are in for a hard fight.

I like it although that rear pillar looks like it could hide a semi. What would you take, this a Lincoln MKZ ecoboost wagon, or V60R?

Well, with the NSX, Acura's brand image will get a boost. Still Acura's biggest problem is that it is still focused on the US market, and because they are not globally forged, their recipe is still the same old make it plushy and add as much stuff as you can, and there's a limit for how much people will pay only for that. I'm hoping that the engineering team in Ohio will learn a few things from the Japanese team assigned there, to assist the development of the NSX and hopefully baby NSX, if that gets approved. It would also be great if Acura would revive their pre-Carpocalypse plan to go RWD, perhaps in a partnership with Mazda, who is also pressed by its engineers to adopt RWD, to differentiate itself even further from the sea of mass market brands.

Isn't that what Infiniti was doing before it decided to go global, and started to offer a deeper configuration possibility, because you know, every costumer is unique and stuff.

The rear screen needs to wrap around the C pillars more, at the moment it's sorta like a hatchback with a big rear overhang more than a wagon.
Plus blind spots.

They actually are doing just that. You know that a current TL fully loaded still comes in under 50 I believe. People just suck because they need the "prestige"

Bump it up to 375 HP and I'd be cool with $50k
